Coffee Barbados Cafe, Bridgetown, Barbados
Date of visit : We’ve been many times but the latest in November 2019
We absolutely love this little café situated in the grounds of George Washington House museum in Bridgetown. The cafe is literally five minutes walk from either the Radisson or Hilton Hotels, so if you’re booked to stay in either of these properties then make the Coffee Barbados Café a must visit during your stay.
Caroline the owner has created a unique little eating place and leans towards healthy options, and organic ingredients. Fresh eggs, homemade jams, delicious toast, and beautifully cooked breakfasts are the order of the day, along with the obligatory morning breakfast tea served in china pots. We enjoyed the morning fruit bowl, followed by poached eggs on toast, and our friend ordered the full English with a Caribbean twist, all excellent and the eggs were cooked to perfection.
We visited on both days of our stay, and enjoyed the short walk up to the café. George Washington House is a museum and really worth a visit, the house is still laid out how it was at the beginning of the 18thCentury. It’s great to enjoy a lovely breakfast, and then wander the grounds and view the old house itself. If you do decide to go then best to arrive early as it does get busy, we had our choice of seats at 8am but it soon filled up.
