Alberts restaurant in Cabopino is our ‘go to’ venue for a fantastic Sunday Lunch in Spain, just as you would find it at home. With a choice of roast beef, lamb, pork and chicken accompanied by all the trimmings, and wonderfully freshly cooked vegetables, it’s hard to beat. It’s equally as good on a sunny winters day as a cooler one, as they have indoor and terrace seating, and if it’s chilly the beautiful living flame patio heaters are brought out. Live music is featured most Sundays to entertain you during lunch, and they also have music most weeks throughout the year too.

Alberts do a full international menu all year round, and it’s a great spot overlooking the harbour of Cabopino, with the fabulous private yachts moored there. In the summer you can sit and enjoy a G&T on the shady terrace with a beautiful fresh salad, and in winter warm yourself with a lovely full bodied Rioja, and of course the delicious Sunday roast. The team are really friendly, and Olivio the manager runs a tight ship.
Christmas & New Year are big occasions too at the restaurant. We’ve been lucky to join them for Christmas lunch on a number of occasions, and it really is spectacular. They really push the boat out and give it a wonderful festive feel. Once again live musicians entertain you during the meal, and this is fantastic on Christmas day itself. This year we will be missing the lunch as we are in Jamaica, but I’m sure we will be booking again the following year.

If you’re ever in Cabopino and fancy a taste of home one Sunday, then this is the place to visit. ‘The best roast on the coast’ is their motto, and we are definitely inclined to agree! 🙂
